Hi Pnay! Congrats!!! Did they ask for your paystubs? I remember we're both worried about the required working hours?

Hi! No, they did not ask for my pay stubs... so far... actually, I called the immigration about the work hours. For Food Counter Attendant, a MINIMUM of 30 hrs per week or 60 hrs bi-weekly is acceptable. So make sure ur getting 60 hrs or more every two weeks. Good luck :-)

Hey shark267,

thanks for your timeline. That was pretty fast.
It took for my Nomination 9 month. Now I am nominated since over 2 weeks but I have to wait for police certificate from my home country (Germany) to send in the PR application.

What is your home country where you applied for PR??

Cheers,
banffitti

Wow! That is really fast! Lucky you :-) Did u apply it yourself or do u have a third party representative? What kind of medical tests did u undergo?

thanks guys ,

i did the whole job myself , everything is well explained in the internet
i recommend everyone to do it himself no need for a third party it s just a waste of time and money .
it s easy
as i know all people who applied and the employer started cutting their hours since september , even they were not having 40 hrs a week , some of them were working 30 hours sometimes less , they got nomination in february .

good luck everybody

And what if I dont have previous experience in certain semi skilled worker occupation?

I am in process for open work permit based on the IEC program, so I will have a chance to work for 12 months in any occupation (if I find a job) and then find a permanent job offer and apply for AINP. I am planning to find a job in semi skilled occupation. Will this 10 or 12 months of experience be enough to prove my experience in certain field, or do they seek more proof from previous employers for semi skilled occupations? I have never worked in those occupations before.

I have co-workers who have open work permit but they are not applying for the AINP. You can check the cic website how to apply for PR. Regarding the work experience, for the food counter attendant, you need 3 years of work experience in a related job. You are required to submit Certificate of Employment to prove ur experience.
