I recently received Permanent Residency in Canada. and I'm planning on landing in Calgary, Alberta shortly. I understand health care in Alberta is free as long as I meet the requirements of living in Alberta for a period of 6months.

I don't plan on relocating immediately. And as such CANNOT meet the conditions/requirements of living in Alberta for 6 months. I intend on leaving Calgary after 3 months. As such, I will want to pay for any health care services I may use.

How do I achieve this. I.e, avoid using the free health care on this particular trip and the procedures on paying for health care out of my pocket. ‎Anyone with such experience?

What do you mean by "how do I achieve this"?

You don't apply for AHCIP and whenever you go to a walk-in clinic for example you pay before a doctor sees you. If he prescribes you then you go to a pharmacy and pay for the medicine.

Also, you can apply for health care in Alberta on the basis that you CAN work (and plan to) in the province for the required period of time - I don't think it necessarily means you have to stay.

There is no point in applying when OP knows they are not going to qualify. If OP receives medical coverage and then leaves before meeting the residency requirement, Alberta Health would require them to repay any medical services they received.
