In the section of the sponsorship papers where it asks about employment, I select self employed.

Now, I don't have a business name but, I do have a Business Number Registered with the CRA. Is it okay to use this business number where it asks for "name of your business?"

If that number is registered with CRA, I think as common sense goes, you can mention there as the number becomes the name (as you didn't name your business). But you should check with others...
