Self employed proof of income

Great forum. We are planning on the federal self employed route. Have concerns regarding our UK tax returns. I am self employed, have been for 20 years falling into the culture field. My tax returns each year are around £22k income/top end. Will this effect the application. I can back up with bank statements etc but just worried about the low income. Thanks

Thanks very your reply. Are they more interested in settlement money and potential earning in Canada? We are coming from UK hopefully.

No black and white requirement on funds, but:

Self-employed immigrants must have the experience, intention and ability to:

• establish a business that will, at a minimum, create an employment opportunity for themselves and that will make a significant contribution to cultural activities or athletics in Canada.

FYI & you are most likely aware but processing is 29 months & they accept only about 1000 people per year into the Business visa category which includes start-up visas too.

OK I came across this and now I am slightly concerned! Any thoughts ref my first post in relation to this link?
