Hi to everyone,

Got the response from Local Visa Office - Delhi after 7months from AOR, they scheduled interview in next month.

Can anyone tell me what kind of Questions they will ask?

Is there anyone who undergone such type of interview? Pls share ur experience.
May I ask if you are single or married? If you are married, is your spouse invited to attend the interview as well?

Yes, I am married, and they invited both of us.

Its clearly mentioned in invitation.

If you are married or in a common-law relationship, your spouse or common-law partner currently residing with you, must also accompany you to the interview, whether included at this time in your application as a family member accompanying you to Canada or not. Please note that if you attend without your spouse or common-law partner the interview will not proceed as scheduled.

Hi all,

Just did my soft landing today.

They did ask for POF - but this is after I declared I did not bring in more than $10,000 Canadian dollars. My POF is in an account in Singapore, which could be withdrawn in Canada via ATM but at the actual point of declaration we only had like $2000 in cash. That was why I decided to not check YES. I didn’t get into trouble, and the CBSA people were so nice and funny - I should write a commendation for them tomorrow or something. I showed them my bank balance statement that showed that I had $xxxxx in my Singapore account. That’s was it.

They didn’t check any of my other documents such as degrees or work evidences. They just needed my COPR, passports, goods accompanying and goods to follow forms.

So be aware of what you declare, if unsure, declare YES to save your ass. You won’t be in trouble unless you have not met an actual or important requirement or prerequisite. And also, different events may happen to different people. I did my processing in Ottawa.

The checking in kiosk failed for us so we just went to the passport stamp and check, then collect our luggages, then to immigration for an hour’s queue to verify COPR, then to submit the GA and GTF forms. All were done pretty fast.

Cheers everyone I hope God brings you all here too. I was destined to live a poor and meaningless life but somehow I have escaped, and am grateful to Canada for giving me and my family another chance to succeed again.

A

IELTS results received. Top grades. Waiting for final police report.
Congrats!
How much did you get in the IELTS Writing? I am doing my exam for the 7th time tomorrow and for some reason I am stuck at a 6.5 in the Writing section. Any tips?

My apologies for throwing this reply in this thread...

Congratulations! What's your NOC code and what is your timeline? You are also on a self-employed pathway? Upon receiving your COPR did you leave and booked a flight right away going to Canada?

It looks like it's possible to get PR in reasonable time rather than the worst case scenario of the published processing times! :D
