Hi All,
I am new to this board and was wondering if someone could assist me with the below queries since I dont know much about how CIC runs this program
1. Is there a application limit that CIC opens up every year ? what are the timelines ?
2. How does this program overall work .. is it like provincial or like express entry ?
3. Where can I find all details regarding this program. I am a Canadian citizen looking to guide my brother to apply for PR under this program as he owns a business back home as a Fitness appraiser.
Thanks for all your help
1. Not as far as I know. There's a link upthread to check the current timeline.Hi All,

You need to mention all sources of income including your day job. If you don't mention it and they find out, it could be classified as misrepresentation. It won't matter if most of your income comes from your day job. However, you should show that you can create employment for yourself in Canada and contribute significantly to Canada under cultural activities and you've had two years experience as well. The burden of providing adequate and convincing proof is on you. The self-employed and entrepreneurs guide (link somewhere in the thread) will provide a better explanation of this as well. HTH.Hi Everyone, I am new here i am so grateful gor tbis thread since there isnt much information out there for this self employed application.
My question goes thus; I have had a day job for the past 10 years, however i started my fashion company in 2015 so i am doing both jobs simultaneously.
I want to apply as a self employed person , do i need to mention that i also have a day job due to fact that most of my income comes from my day job?
Will it hurt my application if they are aware i also have a day job?
I have been running my fashion business as the creative designer with 2 employees for over 2 years. I sell clothes i made both on instagram and online so i have enough proof for this.
Kindly advice if i should leave out details about my day job . Thanks

What's your NOC under the self-employed category BTW?
You can apply for both at the same time and when one is finalized, you can withdraw your application for the other one.Hi guys, I've been reading a lot of pages on this thread and just wanted to say a big thank you for all the contributions! It is a lot easier to understand than some of the instructions I've found elsewhere, especially as there are so many ways/streams/PNP systems!
I have a quick question - I have spoken to a consultant or two and been advised I could apply under Express Entry, but I see I could also apply under Self-Employed? Can I simply do both or are you restricted to one application at a time?
For immigration purpose, you should pass ielts general, not academic one.Ok awesome, thank you! The paperwork for the self-employed seems a lot more clear cut to me, so I am doing that one first - my IELTS expires on the 18th of this month, so I have booked again to resit the Academic course on the 18th as well! Fingers crossed!
