hey guys,

I just started my masters at uwo in ece. With my little bit of experience I have had here I have figured out that my thinking was completely wrong.

I did my undergrad from NED where like all the other pakistani universities the main idea for majority of students is just passing i.e 40%. In my 4 years at NED i gave 42 papers and in all i just studied in the last 2 days and used to pass the papers. This led me to think that since I am able to pass by studing for 2 days that means that I have the potential..last 2 din main parh kar paper nikalna bari baat samajhta tha main...yahan a kar pata chala kay kis kis tarhan say aur kis kis angle say aap phas saktay hain...

Guys I dont mean to scare any of you but as I am having problems here many of you might also have to go through the same. As most of us coming to canada have 2 reason firstly immigration and secondly degree. It is a trade off but i would recommend that when you select the university see to it that it is a good university but not a tough one..cause if it is difficult you might find your self in a situation that you might not be able to complete your degree subsiquently no immigration...

So all you guys out there preparing for degrees in canada keep this fact in mind and plan accordingly.

Thanks

How did you get the admission in UWO as your undergraduation result is not satisfactory.As most of canadian universities requires 3 CGPA or 60% for masters level admission

well 40 % was just a mind set.. mine was 63. plus i have a good tofel and a decent GRE score. not that uwo required gre. also i had professional experience of Siemens. So i got in but now i think that i should have gone for a university with a little less ranking. This program is tough

good day every body am new here plz i need ur help i want a ggod university to study as undergraduate i have just ND how can i select one and how can i go about it

thanks.

@danishali
exactly the same experience brother.... i used to study like this back in india also but after reaching here its like totally different but the studies are not like us that we have to write 50pgs for 80marks.
all r multiple choice and tru and false... but yeah confusing ones.

I dont kow man what I am going to do...at times I feel kay pat nahin ho ga bhi ya nahin..if it was a question of just passing tu i would have been fine but this condition of maintaining 75% thats killing me...

i agree with u brother.... its the same story here also.... but i guess the profs arnt so strict as they used to be back at home...
