Hi,

I'm internationally educated nurse (from Nepal) with B.Sc nursing degree. I'm now in Canada as my husband's dependent and has open work permit. I'm planning to take a licensing exam from CNO. I don't have any work experience and license from Nepal as I'm a fresh graduate. I would be grateful if anybody can guide me through the process. Most important question is; Do I need to get General or Academic form of IELTS? If I could give General IELTS, it would also help in strengthening our express entry profile. Similarly, Do you have any idea about the time that NNAS take to assess our educational credential?

Looking forward for your help guys.

Thanks

CNO only accepts Academic IELTS (immigration only accepts General). j

I can't help with the rest of your questions.

Check this link for college of nurses for Ontario

http://www.cno.org/en/become-a-nurse/

Click on international applicants and you will have all the information. If you questions call the college.

By now I'm sure you have found out more information, but you will need nursing work experience in your home country before you are able to be considered as a nurse in Canada. The only other way to become a nurse in Canada is to complete a BScN at a Canadian university.
