Unless you can prove that you were targeted and your life is in danger you are unlikely to be approved. You are also working abroad so not in danger at home. The acceptance rate is not very high for Liberia. Poor economy and lack of opportunities are not a reasons for asylum.

I can prove this, this is how it's all started 1990,when I was a little boy, my mother was raped and my sisters were taken forcibly by child soldiers. My father was beaten severely by rebels and he died from internal bleeding. Everytime I go home for vacation, I get robbed by arm rubbers, either on my way from the bank or at home during late hours. There are exconbatants everywhere, including the once who killed my parents and sisters I still see them. Government officials are using those guys to do their dirty work. State securities are working with those nasty criminals.

Getting robbed when you you drive to go on vacation is not a reason to seek asylum. It is a reason to stop driving to go on vacation. Assume the deaths happened during war times in Liberia. Although it sounds awful what happened to your family, Liberia is no longer at war so you can’t used what happened in the past. You are describing some events that are almost 30 years old. You need proof that you life is currently at risk and there is nowhere in your country where you will be safe.

If you wish to claim asylum in Canada directly, you will need to obtain a TRV (tourist visa), fly to Canada and then claim asylum once you arrive here. To be approved for a TRV, you must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to pay for your trip and that you have strong ties to your home country and have no plans on remaining in Canada long term. If IRCC suspects you have plans to claim asylum, the TRV will be refused.

Otherwise the best option is to be officially recognized as a refugee in the country where you are now by UNHCR. UNHCR will then resettle you to a country that will become your permanent home. Note that the resettlement process generally takes years and you most likely will not be resettled in Canada (UNHCR will decide where you are resettled - you do not get to choose).

Unfortunately, as you are living and working in another country safely, you won't get asylum based on your home country I would have thought.
