Seek help in the application to extend my stay or remain in Canada

Hi! Good evening

I am applying to extend my stay or remain in Canada as visitor and my concern is on the IMM 5708 form. There is a portion on the details of Visit to Canada asking funds available during my stay (in CAD). My problem is everytime I entered an amount, error pop out and it says:
The format you entered in the following field was incorrect
The correct format is: Must be greater than or equal to zero and less than or equal to 999,999,999,999
The following characters are invalid: $ ,

I would like to ask help on how or the proper way to enter the amount. I tried different ways many times already and this error keep on popping out. Im quite confused. What does "Must be greater than or equal to zero and less than or equal to 999,999,999,999" means? as well as "The following characters are invalid: $ ,

For example, I entered the amount $5,000 then error popped out. I re entered $5,000.00 error popped out again. I re entered 5,000 error popped out again and again..
