Security checks needed for US immigrant?

Hi. I immigrated to US 2years ago. and now I have applied for Canadian Permanent Residency . my gcms notes say security check not started but someone told me that I wont be going under security check.
ps. I have already passed criminality check
do you think it is like this ? if anybody can help me

Every applicant goes through security check(done by CSIS) to ensure they are not a security threat to Canada and its citizens, no exceptions.
