Security check

Hi
I passed my test on May 15 , the officer told he did not see any problems just I must wait for security check to be done .
I asked him how long is take ,he said 5 months approximately.
Any one in same boat?
Does it take that much ?

I also passed the test on May 15, in Vancouver. She told me the same thing, they're waiting for security checks and that I should get my oath invitation within 2-3 months.

The next day my Ecas said "decision made". I think it's standard procedure and nothing to worry about.

Security checks can take from only a few months to several months (occasionally years)

i passed the test in may 22 and now i called cic and told me my security clearance is done.
