My visa office is Buffalo and I have not heard back from them . I have seen many cases with London Visa Office which background check took about 10 months . Hope you receive good news soon .

What's wrong? Have you ever been in a dangerous country? Or did you have any abnormal experience?

No just an ordinary person which hasn`t been outside Canada for 5 years, You never know how long it takes.

Have you sent a mail to CSIS to ask the status of your processing? Might CSIS send back the report but CIC failed to get it.

My case stuck in buffalo since last July , right after my medical . the only reply I am getting from Buffalo is that they are waiting for backgound information. That is why I believe Background / Security check comes after medical results . But maybe cases are different . who knows ? Its almost 19 months since I filed my application and I dont know how long more It may takes ?

Even mine is the same case , heard nothing after AOR in Jan 2014 . when ever i made an enquiry they say Back ground Check is in Progress , cannot say any time frame

are you from Middle east ? I read in some posts before that it took some time for the security check if you are from there .
