Second extension..

I just applied for a second visitor record extension. My first was March 23, 2017 - March 23, 2018 to obtain common-law with my partner.

This next extension I requested another year to send and process our application for PR... I did attach the receipt of payment for PR with the application and we’ve already sent our app.

I am an American and hubby is Canadian.

What are the chances they will approve a second extension?

From what I've heard and read you should be fine, I didnt hear about redusal when the sponsorship is already being processed. But in fact I do not knoe, it's only my opinion from informations I see people sharing.

I am curious. When you did your first extention did you write in the letter that the reason was because of the commom law requerements would take you 1 year leaving together? I heard many times that is not good to mention the intention of staying permanently in the country and your experience makes me surprised (for good).

That is correct. My first extension was listed as “extending to obtain common law”

My second is to stay while applying for PR. I’ve just received my medical and have yet to hear about my extension... so, im hoping things keep moving forward at this pace.
