Sorry to say but finding teaching jobs in Canada is almost impossible, they currently have a huge waiting list but they hope to have jobs availible in 2017.

More importantly graduates from Faculty of Education from Canadian Universities are mopping floors in Sobey's at minimum wage so unless you like to start by washing dishes in restaurants for Canadian experience your chances are pretty slim. Please keep in mind your education and work experience will only qualify you to cross Canadian border legally and settle, thats it, please do NOT expect anything more. For Canadian jobs you need to be Canadianized first. You can say its kind of hidden racism that no one likes to talk about but please dont take it personally, almost everyone has to go through it.
i wouldn't mind washing plates and mopping floors so far i am paid well that's no big deal because i have seen an Msc holder washing plates and even becoming a Taxi Driver. i can do that if you find one, you let me know because i really wanna change my environment. i want to experience Canada.
Unfortunately washing dishes and taxi drivers are not advertised as jobs for foreign workers. Firstly you have to qualify to come to Canada legally through the points system by highlighting your education and work experience related to your field. You get points for all this. Higher the points greater the chances of success.
Once you are here you have to down play all your work experience and education, minus everything from your resume (otherwise they'll say you are overqualified and show you the exit sign), then you have to physically walk into restaurants with your resume and apply for the jobs. Please keep in mind its minimum wage ($10.25 in Ontario) and some places pay you a lot less than that. Depending if the owner likes you he'll hire you otherwise there are million other doors you can knock.

I admire your honest and realistic approach. I am moving to Quebec soon and I would like to ask you whether you have seen skilled immigrants who, after doing additional studies in Canada, got a qualified job? I am trying to understand whether doing additional studies is a good investment.

Get your OCT licence-- look up evaluation procedures at www.oct.ca, after licence get as many as AQ's in your licence to be marketable.
Its good to go to any reserves for your Canadian experience-- and then try for Supply teaching jobs when you have some experience in teaching.
But to apply for OCT- which is the licencing body for Ontario teachers-- one should be an immigrant

The difference is that when people were going to Gulag, they did not have rosy dreams of a brilliant future.
In my case, when I arrived here I knew very well I will have great difficulties in finding a good job. Because I do not believe in a free labor market. I only believe in bribes and contacts because I am not from the so called West. The chief recruiter in my housemate's company in Montreal is only 22. You would wonder when did he manage to build his brilliant career? Hint: he is the son of the founder! In fact, after coming here, I believe in a free labour market even less.
It has been 6 months I am here. Fully bilingual French/English, with British PhD, 3-year experience of teaching at a british university. No job interviews at all in my field, not even bank cashier post.
At the moment I am working in call centre to sustain my cashflow. But I am close to losing my patience. I would rather open a grocery store so that instead of patiently listening to junky customers swearing at me I can tell them to get the hell out.
By the way, I am not writing this to degrade the image of Canada or discourage people from coming. In fact, I am grateful that it was the only country that gave me a permanent status so that I can finally live in peace. However, if you need a well paying job on top of peace and you are not from war zone (like me) please carefully think before leaving jobs at home.
