Hi, can I go through the sds method for a student Visa after paying term 1 and term 2 fee (Sept to april) in a university? The term 3 takes place in summer and is an internship and my course is a 1 yr masters program. The university doesn't allow us to pay it's fee right now. Is it possible?

In which university you are going?
If you want to put your file under sds then u have to pay 3 terms fee
If you pay only 2 terms fee then ur file will be processed under non sds ( uni category)

University of British Columbia. They haven't specified about term 3 in the portal either. The pending payment is for 2 terms which I'll be paying. After which it might show no dues.

What fees is mentioned on the offer letter you received? Is it 2 semesters or 3?

It's a one year program right, so they've divided it into 3 installments. They have specified an amount payable in 3 installments. They dont allow us to register for term 3 as it is an internship like a co-op, that's why in the portal there are only 2 terms mentioned as of now and its fee. The registration and fee payment for term 3 will happen later in may.

Then you should only pay for 2 semester. On the cic website it is mentioned to pay one year tuition fee. Co op fee doesn't come under tuition fee.

No I haven't yet. I'm waiting for my gic certificate and I'll also be paying the tuition fee now so I'll be applying for the Visa by next week. The regular method is taking way too long is what I've heard, beyond 2 months. That's the reason I was asking about sds.

Depends on profile. My cousin got his approval in just 6 days through regular stream. I've applied under sds on 30th May done with biometrics...waiting for correspondence letter and decision. Under sds max it takes around 10 working days
