SDS visa delay, applicant from Pakistan 2021

Passed the medical : 15th February

Still in the middle of nowhere, my next fee was due last week that I cleared as well.
Been waiting for the response but no luck, while some friends from neighbour countries are already there.

I applied through sds. In my Phd program, University has guaranteed me stipend and scholarship that covers my fee for 4 years.

now, since I haven’t gotten my SIN, I am paying Fees from my pocket. I am second semester now, took winter semester online.

So it's more than 4 months now and response time with SDS was 20 days before and now due to Covid 2 months are ok but more than 4 months is too much. Have you submitted any webform to expedite the process?

You should raise a webform if your eligibility review has not started. Becauee several Pakistani SDS applicants had their eligibility review started recently (mostly those who applied in March). And today an April applicant got the update as well.

I only see below:

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you message if we need more information.

Application was summited on 2 Feb 2021 with biometric and medical, they updated medical exam passed on 31st March after 2 months of submitting it.

Yes I did twice- to Abu-Dhabi office and directly to the ircc as well.

Yes, my eligibility review started (timeline in signature). On our WhatsApp group for Pakistani applicants, several applicants from March and April had their eligibility review started as well.
