Where have you heard this?

I applied for Fall intake on March 15, and as of today it's been exactly 60 days. Been stuck on Background Check since March 17.
Processing time is usually 11-12 weeks so you are still a few weeks away from surpassing the provided time.

Applying 4 months before the intake is best option, 3 months proceesing time + 15-20 days for pass port stamp. Students who applied in nov, dec for may intake got stuck. Whereas, who applied in jan, feb got early results. IRCC prime focus is nearest intake. When intake time has passed then they process latest applications for next intake. This is not the process always followed but general trend. Sometimes applying too early, slows the process. Hold applications consumes a lot of time.

Hi,

Is this true? Where did you get this information from? (I'm not trying to refute or negate you at all, I just want to know if there's a source I can refer to)
