Hello, after receiving the Biometric letter I have submitted request for Biometrics appointment to VFS , wondering how long they take to respond back with our appointment schedule knowing the fact that vfs is now taking all student requests. appreciate if any one can help here.
Hey, I believe vfs replies with an appointment confirmation within 2 days. I submitted a request for the biometrics appointment on the 24th of April and they replied on the 26th with an appointment date; hope this helps !

Great, as a coincident i just received my appointment schedule , thanks a lot for your reply.

Quick question though, after we give our BioMetrics how fast they get uploaded to CIC and in how many days we can expect the process to complete under SDS as i belong to this category, appreciate your help.

Someone I know gave it today morning and by the time he reached home it was updated! Decisions they aren’t giving out right now so that you’ll have to wait for. Eligibility started yet?

They usually get updated within minutes of you giving biometrics, atleast that was the case with me. However delays can happen and have happened before which lasted from some hours to months previously. very rare tho.

Hey guys,

My wife applied for her study permit (non-sds) from Pakistan on 20 april and biometrics 26th april. She was single at the time.

We got married on 10 june.

Her medical was accepted 22 june. She hasn't informed ircc yet about the marriage. We are still waiting for the official marriage certificate but hopefully should have it within a week.

I work in canada (pgwp) and returned couple days back to canada. Any advice on whether we should immediately inform ircc about our marriage or wait until obtaining marriage certificate or pursur any other course of action?

Also, how would this potentially affect her application?

When you claim something to IRCC you need to have proof, so if you want to inform them about your marital status, just wait 'til you have the official marriage certificate.
Anyway, IMHO, you should wait until she gets approval and landed in Canada because the act of informing IRCC about your marital status does not help her SP process faster or something, even by somehow, it weakens her 'home country ties.

Your name will be written on the forum history... First Indian after a long time to get PPR!! Lol.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

They are hopefully gonna start giving decisions on files soon. I even heard rumors that they are gonna start visa stamping and two way courier from June 28th. Here is a private message snippet with someone who claims to have a neighbour in vfs global centers of Canada(treat this just as a rumour).

Well I think it could be true, otherwise they wouldn't have started to give the decisions.
