Similar timelime, mine is 14th June. What is your application status? Mine got updated from "Your action is required" to "Submitted" day before yesterday.

Between 10 and 12 weeks seems to be the average processing time.

I'm guessing it is mostly people who don't think they will be able to get here in time to start their classes + SDS has a higher approval rates so that is what I've suggested to students if possible (if that is what you were referring to).

Thanks,I do agree with your quote. however, I do not agree with the texts in bold. I Mean generally yes, but not necessarily. it depends on a lot of factors and factors that the IRCC chinook system looks at it.

SDS visas are taking way more than usual time.
My timeline:
1. Applied on April 30th 2022
2. Visa file application April 30, 2022 ,
3. Medical Passed on the June 2nd 2022 ,
4. Biometric completed on the May 5, 2022
After this no updates till now.
My course starts from August 2nd University of Toronto.
