Hello guys ...

Those who didn't have got gic certificate and facing delay because of it ....

You can apply with a letter stamped and signed from the bank you have transferred the money with the swift copy enclosed with it ( swift copy attessted from bank too ) ...

Mention about the gic delay in sop...

One of our student got visa through this .. sorry for late information but I just wanted to be clear with it ..

Print it on bank ' s letter head ...

Hi,
I was actually going to use this method and had got stamp and sign from the bank, but luckily I got the GIC certificate.

But I think this is a risky move.

For a while my agent was going on about using the bank receipt as a substitute for GIC and just days ago they claimed to have got hold of some new information that the bank receipt is no longer valid and GIC has to be provided.

ok let me explain further.

Last week, my agent gave me the most highest positive vibe that I could apply for the student visa with the bank transfer receipt.
So I got the original stamped and signed by the foreign exchange department.

The day before, I had received the GIC certificate luckily and went to my agent to provide the documents.

However they said that they had received a mail or came to know that cic no longer accepts the bank transfer receipt and the students have to submit the GIC certificate only.

Sounds like CIC was accepting and no longer accept swift receipt. I know this information isn't reliable.

But on a personal note. I woudent advice any one to use the bank receipt. You are better off waiting for the next intake than to apply late and that too without the gic certificate.

They only want evidence .. gic certicate is not wriiten anywhere... still I knew crtificate is the strongest evidence .

So whosoever applying with swift copy can send gic certifacte after getting it ..

It is just an alternate.

And I didn't find any negativiness in this.

you can use it, I was going to use it infact.

and as you said that it isn't mentioned any where that you shoudent use the bank receipt.

It all comes down to confidence level of individuals and the support from their agents.

Iv read posts of some agents refusing to use the bank receipt, while some have said they used that as a last resort and have actually got the visa with it.

We need to find some one from inside 8)

Honestly my friend,

I think submitting any documents past your actual submission is bad and as the start date is near, I woudent advise sending in additional documents after the first submission because that would lead them to review your case more deeply.

My final advice would be to either get the bank receipt signed and sealed with their logo on it and ask your agent if want to send in the original or send the notarized version for submission ( and not send the GIC certificate later )
or
wait for the GIC
or
transfer your intake to Jan

But do search around further. I have only given you my own personal opinion

GIC certificates usually comes in exact 10 days - see if u can wait and hopefully it has not been a further delay to u ( more than 10 days)
