Hi Guys,

My brother wants to apply for PR and he's sitting at 425, profile created before OINP re-opened, Ontario ticked as province of interest, but hasn't received NOI. Any idea why? Could this be because of his NOC? (don't remember the number, but was secondary school teacher).

Having a score of 400+ doesn't guarantee a nomination from Ontario. There are plenty of people here with 400+ scores who haven't been selected.

We don't know on what basis Ontario selects or doesn't select applicants. However secondary school teachers certainly are not an in demand profession (we have more teachers than jobs available).

Score of 400+ makes you eligible but it's not guaranteed.

Few mentioned in the forum that they recreated their profiles and got OINP invite the very next day. I suggest you guys do it too.

I created a new profile with a score of 472 and didn't get a notification from Ontario. I don't think creating a new profile is a sureshot way to get a notification else I would have got it on my new profile. I think ontario cherry picks. I got my ITA after 6 days.

There is a immitracker in this forum and some of the teachers also got NOIs so its not about the NOC they are just cherry picking. If they had problem with teachers they would have said like manitoba PNP.
