1) What is the process for registering your children into a school

2) Can you pre register IE: before you move from uk to canada

3) How long does it take to enroll a child

Many Thanks

I assume you are referring to public schools. If so, here are some answers:
1) You have to visit the school with your children's ID's (proving they are eligible for free tuition) and proof of your residential address (showing you reside in the school district as evidence of your eligibility to attend that particular school).
2) No, unless and until you have proof of where you live, school's can't admit you.
3) It's a very quick process and should be completed within a day or two.

Hi Torontosm, "proving they are eligible for free tuition" - can you elaborate a little on this statement?

Sure, what I meant is that so long as the kids are entitled to free tuition (e.g., are PR's, citizens, dependents of people on valid work permits, etc.), then it would be fine. If the children are here on visit visas, for example, they wouldn't qualify for free tuition.
