Hi. I'm 18 yrs old and our papers is under the fsw program and my mom are still waiting for the interview, but we're under the final background check now. My question is, is it okay if I interrupt my studies now?

I'm sorry I am not knowledgeable with this, but I really hope you do not cross 19 before your mom get's the visa. See here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2014-06-23.asp

From the above link it seems to be that previously you needed to be a full time student if you were above 19, but now it does not matter i.e. you will not be eligible. So I think you can interrupt your studies. However, that's just my opinion. I hope some seniors can respond to you.

Hi thanks for responding, I do hope so that some seniors here will respond too. Because the 2nd sem here is going to start next week and 10k tuition fee isn't a joke for us to pay. I'll send the link to my mom, thanks again. :) God bless

CIC locks the filed applicant's data at the application date. Hence, the age of the girl is locked at less than 18. So, she will be issued PR even if she gets immigration after several years.

This under 19 years age will apply to new applications.

Just my 2 cents. Experts may correct me.
