Question: Can minor children of those parents who are on a student visa, study in public schools or they have to apply for admission in private schools!!

If they can study in public school, how do we go about getting them admission in public school!! What kind of visa do they need or they will get when accompanying parents are awarded a student visa!!

In most provinces, if the parents have a work permit or study permit valid for a year or more, the children can attend public schools without paying international fees. Contact your local school board to see if they want a study permit for the children. (Most elementary/secondary won't)

hi. Were you able to resolve this. I have a friend who is here on work permit and get kids aren’t able to go to school. They say apply for their visitor record. But I hear visitor record can get rejected. In this case the kid may have to go back while mom continues to stay here.
