School Option in Quebec for Non French Speaking

Heloo All,

Will appreciate if somebody can help me with this situation.

Please be informed that we are new immigrants to Quebec and we will be moving
to Montreal by 21st of August 2015 from Dubai, United Arab Emirates as permanent
residents.

I have a daughter who's details are as follows :-

Date of Birth - 15th March 1998
Current curriculum - Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE - Indian syllabus)
Language of education - English
Current std. - 11th Grade passed already and currently promoted to 12th Grade (A Level
equivalent) and was in school till 15th May 2015.

Unfortunately my daughter doesn't have any knowledge of French at all and neither do
we have.

My question is, I want to get my daugher admitted in one of the govt. schools in Quebec
so that she can finish her 12th Grade but not in French school since she has no French
knowledge at all. Are there any govt. schools which are English speaking or both English
and French speaking so that she can finish her 12th and then move on to University the
following year.

If there are only French govt. schools then I assume we will have to look for private
schools and will appreciate if anyone can suggest some schools and if any idea on the
school fees etc.?

Any positive suggestions are welcome as really worried about my daughter's further
education.

It is not possible to send your daughter to an English school unless you or your wife have spent the majority of elementary school in an English elementary school in Canada. You do however have to option to send her to private school. It is pricey but unfortunately the legislation in Quebec does not give you any other option.

Thank you for your response and I really appreciate it.

This is going to be a big problem for us plus expensive as well.
Will check and if required then move to Toronto I guess!!
