SCHOOL CLOSED.need to transfer soon.what happens to the study n work permit

is there anyone here who knows something about renewing/updating both study and work permit???

the license to operate of my hubby's school in BC was cancelled,hence CLOSED...
he is holding a study permit and work permit (co-op program) that will expire 2015

since school closed, he needs to transfer to another school.

how long is the processing time for him to get another study and work permit in the same province BC
how is the process?

we are tormented at this time and our worlds are shaken because of this sad news.

He don't need to update the study permit as its still valid. he just need to apply in another school and start his studies there.

can i still submit our application with those permits?
would it not be a reason for refusal later?

strange i don't have the name of the school in my permit. just try to message tiger might he can help you as he is very senior and have deep dived these things

Just tell your husband to join in public-funded college in BC.

After one semester you can apply for spouse work permit.
Never apply in Private college

im sorry... my mistake...
school's name is not shown in the study permit.
rather it's in the work permit (thru co-op program where it indicates the school as its employer)

he is actually looking for a publicly funded school but we are worried tuition fees are really expensive.
they also wanted to consider taking a course with co-op program.

is it true that all publicly funded institutions make one student eligible for PGWP?

my husband's application for student permit is still on process,katatapos lang nya magmedical,and earlier this afternoon we received a call from IVC,at yun nga sabi na nagclose na ang vipm...nag email na yung agent namin sa embassy regarding sa nangyari sa school...naghahanap kami ng school sa vancouver na same sa course na kinuha nya sa vipm(health in social care management coop)...nakakalungkot baka kasi madeny c hubby dahil sa nangyari... may nakita na kami kaso sa ontario...grabe nakakalungkot talaga nawawalan na kami ng pag-asa....

anyway...

sis hubby is still lucky he is not there yet. that saves him from the trouble of looking for a good school.
its so hard for them to spend a single dollar thinking that they dont have any source of funds now due to cancellation of their work permits.

sis thats better, look for a different school.
that school in vancouver have been SOOOOOO BUSY recruiting students from other places and have left their students behind WITHOUT WORK... i mean some has work but they were the once who looked for it--- not the school! and some even works JUST TO HVE WORK... not related to their studies...

now what you have to do is to choose among all schools layed to you by ivc. and let them communicate with them for faster completion of requirements (baka mainip ang embassy)...

my partner is looking for a publicly funded school with co-op. still in BC...

my clp started to inquire from among these schools.
but most of them offers degree for international students as high as $15,000 above.
so costly. and they have a lot of admission requirements.

are these listed name of schools makes one student eligible for PGWP later?
