S/he is, anyway, ineligible to join a Catholic School. BTW, both r the same except that the Catholic School shall 'also' impart a soft amalgamation to christianity... Nothing wrong with it though.

1. Admission is "assured" to ur kid/s at the neighborhood school, whenever/whatever time of the yr u approach them.
2. For Sep Admission u could go to the school on Sep-4 itself (School Reopening Day) or any day/s later as well... it doesn't matter.
3. During the months of Jul-Aug most school "premises" will be closed/locked/sealed -- thus no action (for our kids' admission it doesn't matter anyway as explained earlier).
4. Some school premises might have certain "open" days for admission in between... u need to access the District School Board's website to know about them.

Bottomline: Don't fret over it... if u can't make it before -- take ur kid/s to the school on their Session Opening Day (Sep-4th, 2013) or any time/day at ur will, and they would be admitted into the school.

Usually 'month-to-month' leases aren't made by the landlords. However, if u've one - that'd suffice.

heres a question sir,plz guide me. I am planning to move to canada in dec,as per age bracet,my son will be eligible to get into grade 9 as he will be 14 after aug28. Here,he will be passing class 8th ,the next week.SIR,what would you advice me whether to get him admitted to class 9 over here? My idea is to make him join some language classes or some other grooming classes for rest of the period left in india . whats your valuable advice,sir?

Hi,

A wise parent will not stop/hamper/digress his/her kid's edn process/line-up in any way before 'landing'. The child will continue to do what s/he has been doing... and close to the day of flight his/her "Transfer Record" will be obtained.

As everyone 'lands', settles down a bit, a location for long-term resid. is selected, the parent shall approach the neighborhood school and get his child admitted (admission is guaranteed anytime of the yr). This should take a month or two (max) after 'landing'.

Usually, no language classes or grooming sessions r required for our kids... they adapt to the system/culture/curriculum/friends-circle here pretty soon & with ease... we'd be amazed to see how astute our kids r... they r smarter than we think!

hi...i m new to this forum...very nice and infirmative posts r here..i need to know that my son wud turn 7 this aug and he wud b going to Grade 2 here in dubai...but we wud be having our visas by the end of aug so we plan to land in canada..would my son be admitted to grade 1 or grade 2???and also which public schools are best in toronto or alberta?...
