School admission .Please help me...

My son is studiying in 8th grade here in Bahrain.
He is 14 years old. (Birth date August 20th 1998)
We are planning to come to Vancouver in January.
Is it possible to get admission in 9th grade in January?
What are the proceedures....? Please help me.....

Hi

The grade admission is based on the age at the cut-off date. This sometimes differes between the Provinces.
You need to check the respective Province's website. What grade you are in currently is not considered in many cases

If he just turned 14, he should be in the 9th grade so I assume that is where they will place him.

When you know where you will live, you can look for a school here: http://www.bced.gov.bc.ca/apps/imcl/imclWeb/Home.do and talk to them directly.
