This form says the principal applicant and the spouse must each complete their own copy of this form.

I am the spouse but I am already a Canadian citizen. Do I need to fill out this form for myself if I'm already a citizen of Canada? Also, being a citizen of Canada...do I need to provide a police certificate for myself?

You don't need to complete it as the sponsor and you also don't need to provide a police check.

These same forms are used across many different types and streams of immigration. If your wife were the principal applicant and you were her dependent spouse on the application (if she were applying through an economic stream, for example, and she added you to her application), then you'd have to fill it out.

Sponsors, however, do not.
