Hello Qorax, Seniors, Forum Friends,

I have received the AOR for the first stage (CIO-NS), and I am now gathering the documents for second stage (VO) within the 120-day period.

I am reviewing the photocopy of my forms again, and realized that I had made a mistake in Schedule 1:

SCHEDULE 1: BACKGROUND DECLARATION

9. Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada, ever:

- previously sought refugee status in Canada or applied for a Canadian immigrant or permanent resident visa or visitor or temporary resident visa?

I didn't notice that it was asking if I had applied for a visitor visa! I think I misunderstood and thought it was only referring to refugee status, so I had put a "NO" in this question :(

I have previously applied for visitor visas, and have been granted multiple visitor visas. Should I change my answer to "Yes" and just include the details of the visitor visas granted?

Will this be an issue? And how do I update the form, do I need to rewrite all or just mark the corrections?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you!

Cheers,
Canada2010Journey

1- IN THE FORM U WILL SEND TO THE VISA OFFICE YOU CORRECT THE INFORMATION

2- WRITE IN A COVER LETTER THAT YOU MADE THAT MISTAKE & YOU OVERSIGHTED THAT

ANY HOW IT IS NOT AN ISSUE , & U SHOULD BE SURE THAT WILL NOT AFFECT UR APPLICATION

Did anyone have to re-do all the forms before the "Full Document" submission to the Visa Office, or is it alright if I just send the photocopies + cover letter of changes made + updates pages where updates were made?

Dear Canada2010Journey,

I am in same boat. I answered same question as NO while submitting it to CIO. Now, I was reviewing docs before sending it to Buffalo and realised this mistake.

Could you please share your experience if changed answer to 'YES' and what other things you did to handle this question?

Hello jattz,

Apologies for the late reply. I didn't see your message right away.

Here's what I did:
1. Updated the form. Made sure I listed all the Canadian visitor visas that I have received in my past 2 passports.
2. Wrote a cover letter explaining the changes.
3. Sent a photocopy of my old passports + Canadian visitor visas.

Will let you know the outcome :)

Cheers,
