You will be sent for additional tests, may be prescribed some medication and then another chest x-ray later.

Hi. My MF states a suspect of TB. What will happen now?

Dont worry they will not deny your app. You just need to have treatment for 6 months if indeed they prove you have ptb. They will do another set of xrays. Then i think they will send you to specialist and prescribed you with ptb meds(RIPES - rifam, iso ,pira, etham & strep) 4 meds for 4 months and 2 meds for 2 months. But it will still depend on your physician about the meds. Dont worry it will delay your app but once your cleared theres nothing to worry about. Cheers!

The Local doctor who did my meds said I dont have it but CHC replied to the physician to get another set of xray. I am so tensed

My wife also was suspected of TB. Which with further tests was diagnosed with inactive TB. Although even those tests were not 100% conclusive . But we were early in our process so her doctor put her on the meds and we just waited for word from our VO. Because my wifes original meds expired early in March, she was sent notice to re-medical. This time all was good and we were told to submit her passport. We will be coming up on 12 months but should have her Visa my end of May for a total processing time of aprox 13 months

As was allready posted, you will not be denied, just need to clear up the condition prior to a visa being issued.

In our case I dont think it caused any extra time in our over all process as we are well under the average processing time for our VO

Thank you to ll for your prompt reply

Can I as you how long will I have to wait now for answer of my second xray? My VO is Sydney Australia but Manila office looks at our Medical

This link will help you with the exact procedure CIC will have to follow for TB.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/pp/pdf/IMEI_Tuberculosis.pdf

Like others have stated TB won't lead to a rejection, but it will delay the process since they have to follow a certain set of procedures to make sure TB is controlled. They will issue the visa after the above procedures are completed successfully.

All the best.

Medicals are processed by CIC Regional Medical Offices (RMO), NOT Visa Offices. There is no RMO in Australia (there are only around 8 RMOs in the world), so the closest RMO here would be Manila.

my husband had a scar they thought it was tb. so they sent him for xray tests every 3 months for 9 months. and got him to do a skin test and sputum.

turned out everything was negative and he didn't have TB.

:)

Hi

I got another test done for my satisfaction by a specialist. In that report too it was all negative. Dont understand how the Manila office found anything.
