Scarborough office / timeline after test

I became Canadian citizen today at the Scarborough office.

This is the end of a long journey which includes four and half months wait after the decision was made in July 2015.

In the end, all is well that ends well. RQ correspondence getting lost in the mail resulting in loss of 8 months, then transfer of file to St. Clair office, then transfer to Montreal then back to Scarborough, it was a patience game. I am glad it is over.

To all those who are waiting for their citizenship, I wish all the best and hope you have your cases concluded soon.

I did not invite to a test.I just fill RQ's form out and gave them all of nessisery proofs.

Here is good news for me. I become Canadian on November 26, 2015.

My long long long journey of almost 4 years end. I am on this forum for

last 4 years, I applied in January 2012, in process May 2012, resident questionnaire
in March 2013 before interview/test, October I got test/interview and I become
Canadian on November 26,2015.

God bless those people who hold my application for such a long time, and hope no one
will pass through the hardship and mental torture as I did, visit several time to MP
visit lawyer, visit translators to translate all my passports, visit Fedex sending all
my file to CIC to ensure speedy delivery, any how time pass and I will forget
all this and enjoy my rest of life with good feeling.

Thanks all for with me in these days and I am proud that despite Samreen Got Passport
she is still helping people in this forum.

Hearty Congrats. I know, we have been on the same thread of this forum. I had been in similar situation, applied in Feb 2012 thru attorney who messed up calculation and submitted my application with about 2 months short of days.

Yet, the CIC dragged my case for almost 4 years thru RQ, test, hearing with citizenship judge. After 4 years wait, the judge told, he does not have time to review tons of proof about my strong ties to country. All he told, withdraw and re-apply, you will get it.

Had the CIC rejected my application after receiving my response to RQ, I could have re-applied by end of 2012. What a sheer waste of everybody's resource and time.

Dont know it was CIC systematic way to deprive people of citizenship, they had good reasons to reject my application after receiving my response to RQ and then even after test yet, yet they dragged 4 years.....

Finally I got my oath invitation letter today which is scheduled on December 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM. I did my test on May 19, 2015 and it took almost 7 months for oath invitation. My timeline is as follows:

AOR: Oct 13, 2014

Test: May 19, 2015
DM: August 28, 2015
Oath: Dec 21, 2015

Thanks for your kind words, sad to hear about your case, I hope you will re apply
immediately as you already have 6 years and am sure you will be having a
significant number of days and once you will apply you will be able to secure
citizenship within few months.

My case am well over required number of days even than my case run for
almost 4 years.

Suggest do not involve in any lawyer just apply and wait all will be well with you.
