Scarborough office / timeline after test

A friend of my sister had her test Sept29 then received her oath dated Sept30 for Oct19 at Scarborough office. That was fast! But her application started last year but still test & oath invites depends on local office so I guess Scarborough office is working.

My own timeline is on my sig below.

PS: the lady who do my nails did her test Sept 17th then oath's on Oct 14th.

Hi Cantor,

Welcome to the forum. No one can say definitely when you will be scheduled for test, your local office determines that and timelines vary bu quiet a bit. You can always go to thread for your month and check the spreadsheet of how other people who applied around the same time as you are faring to get an estimated timeline.

Thanks Samreentariq for the advice. Your timeline is very similar to mine. Looks like our office started working on Jan/Feb applicants. Hope to get something soon! Keep posted about yours.

There are just cleaning up August ones. I think in November, September test takers will hear about their oath.

Sept 17 (Feb applicant) & 29 (2014 applicant) already got their oath letters for Oct 14 & 19

I did my little research about Scarborough office and it seems that as per 2015 their timeline is an average of 8.5 months (250 days) from sending application till the oath.

You can not take it for granted since we are all aware that CIC keeps changing their timelines.

Don't know yet the location of Oath. Scarborough doesn't show any ceremony on that date.

Whenever the oath date happens, I hope I don't have to go all the way back down to Scarborough to get it done like I did with the test. It's a nine hour drive for me.

9 hours! Is there no CIC office close to you?
If you are scheduled for Scarborough office, You can speak to CIC about it. You never know, they may reschedule you to a closer office.

I know a few have already gotten their oath notifications but I agree that the majority of us September test takers will hear back late October to November for oath. Seems far away but yet so close enough. We wait..

No. I live in Northern Ontario, and there are no CIC offices here. Instead, CIC travels here for itinerant services.

At the interview after my test, I told the guy that while I was willing to travel down there again for the oath ceremony, it would be very difficult (not impossible, but difficult) for my wife to travel there as she has MS, and that her condition is getting pretty severe these days. Hopefully, the oath ceremony will be handled here in Sault Ste. Marie when it happens.
