I had my test on 12th March and still no updates.

This is really very upsetting. We are in 21st century and I wish CIC was little better in communication and update of status on files. Not sure why will they hold the files if there is no issue. I sent a request through my MP as well and they told me that everything is ok with the file. Well, if everything is ok with it, why not schedule the oath.

I just wanted to give an update on our timelines:

My wife applied back in November 2014
Test Date: May 25, 2015
Status was in Process up until Aug 18, 2015
Status changed to Decision Made on Aug 19, 2015 and a line was added that we have sent you a notice on Aug 17th to take the oath on Sept 1st.
She had her oath ceremony yesterday with 92 other people who took their oath of citizenship. It was a fun and joyful event.

I applied on the same day as my wife back in November 2014.
My interview Date was July 3, 2015
My status changed to Decision Made for me on July 15, 2015
Like many of you guys I am waiting for that pink letter...

Dont worry king same here my test was on 9th july ,got DM after few days of test and like u waiting for pinky.....

I wonder why the last leg of Oath takes so long. As the decision made gets updated, there should be just printing of citizenship certificate and putting the candidate in next upcoming Oath ceremony. It's purely administrative process left. Folks in the forum are waiting for 6 months in that.
Centers in GTA have Oath ceremony every week I guess.

After DM, some people got invitation to Oath within one week while some wait and wait. Even though they told me 2-4 months and my status is also DM, it's still upsetting.
A single application.

My timeline:
AOR: 12/31/2014
In process: 02/23/2015
Transferred to missisauga: 02/25/2015 (this information disappeared later and never come back)
Test: Aug 11/2015 at Scarborough
DM: Aug 14/2015
Oath: waiting

I think the main reason is that they are trying to finish the process for some old applicants. One of the aspects of the new bill is to remove the big load of applicants that they have, and if you look at CIC website they are trying to finish all the old applicants by the end of March. So, priorities go for older applicants. I have friends who are waiting for more than 2 years, and their files are just starting to move!

hello guys

i just have one question, yesterday we received a call from the citizenship test office asking us to bring copies of our passports. we just had our test yesterday and we all passed. is this normal or is something wrong with our application

You received a call after the test? Does that mean you need to go back with your passports?

Process time is 2 Years as per CIC timeline for Citizenship application. It means they must finish the whole process with in 2 years. Accept or Reject one way or other. More than 2 years that totally absurd.

Interesting. After I wrote the test yesterday, I was told that I would be waiting about 4-8 weeks before taking the oath. I also tested in Scarborough.

I was first told before our batch started the test. "2~4 months" was written on the white board also.
Then, after I finished my interview, I was told by the interviewer again that it would be 2~4 months.

You are luckier.

It sure seems that way, doesn't it? Seems to be no rhyme or reason to the process.
