Has anyone given the citizenship test in March 2015 & still waiting for an oath ceremony ?

please update ,as I am eagerly waiting to hear from everyone.

My status- Gave exam on March 15th 2015.
-Passed the exam
-Officer informed everything is good & should receive within 2 months an oath letter

Haven't received the letter yet & ecas isn't updated also.
Called call center they say wait till you get something in mail. Usually takes 6-8 months if u don't get anything then call us back

Any advise?

You are not alone. A lot of March ones are waiting for oath. Scarborough is becoming the slowest office now!!!

For me March 11, and they told everybody that we will send ceremony invitation within 2-4 months. It is not within 2 months!

It seems the average is 9 months to 12 months from application to Oath....it seems CIC is just sitting on the files...

Looks like people of March are the one who are unlucky here. For most it is been said 2-4 months. 4th Month is running right now. >:( >:( >:( >:(

Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuys,
The ECAS has changed to ‘Decision Made’ for both my wife and me. My son’s is still in process….
What does that mean???????

I had my test March 19, still waiting for oath.

I did notice a trend though from reading posts in this forum: I submitted my application on Oct 31 2014, and had my test March 19, 2015. There are people who had their test after March 19th and already got their oath invite, BUT these people submitted their application months before I did. It appears that CIC is trying to clear backlog and follow a First in First Out (FIFO) kind of system whereby they are giving oath to people whos application dates are earlier than yours regardless of weather their test was before or after you.

Not sure if anyone else noticed this trend?

Well, it could mean 1 of 2 things, either your citizenship application is DENIED, or it is APPROVED. More than likely it is the later.

Keep in mind that ECAS is a very finicky system, it is outdated, it gives you limited information, it is not consistent for all applications and it can cause confusion for a lot of people.

I would just ignore the Decision Made status....don't be surprised if tomorrow it changes back to In Process, like it did for a lot of other people!

Good luck.

In my opinion :

You and your spouse appeared for the test, and those were the apps that the offcers had in front of them when updating the review comments and decision into the system - hence yours and your spouses were updated with comments including decision

your child most likely did not appear the test - as he did not have to. the file was not there with the officer when he made the update.

so in theory all apps have a decision made, however only your and your spouses were updated - because you were the 2 who appeared for the test and the files available with the officers while they were updating cas.

My wife submitted her application on 2 July 2014. Passed the test on 2 April 2015. Still waiting for the oath.

So from your experience, How long it should take to get the Oath letter...
