This update is for the PRs who have submitted their citizenship applications and anxious to know what is speed of processing of citizenship applications in 2015.

We (as a family) submitted our citizenship applications in the end of August 2014.

Acknowledgement received in early November 2014 that process started in the end of October 2014.

Test letter received in first week of January 2015 for test on January 23, 2015.

Out of 20 questions most of the questions were straight forward. Few were put up in other way round. Easy to pass if first take citizenship practice tests on some websites (Apanatoronto, v-soul, yourlibrary etc), then read Discover Canada at least once, and again repeat the websites practice tests.

We passed 20/20 an 19/20. Oath letters were handed over to many applicants including us at the end of interview for February 9, 2015.

Our case was quite simple because we are well settled here and never travelled out of Cananda in 3 years period. No police case, no social insurance. Our application was fully documented as desired by CIC, so, no RQ.

Total test and interview process time around 1.5 hour.

In short, our experience shows process speed has increased many times as compared to the past, at least for applicants filling full requirements and having clean residence history with no travelling out of Canada.

Good luck to all who are waiting.

In our case no one was given an oath letter in a room and we passed a test on Jan 15th in Scarborough.
Wish everyone's case was straight forward like yours. Congrats!

Congratzzzz

May I ask all coresponding were by mail or by email. Because I worried that if some one letter will be misplaced what will happend

I received my AOR in Jan 22 and I'm looking for my test letter . I'm looking for a thread to share experiences and timelines @ Scarborough office. Is this the right one??
