The test was easy. If you read the book twice and then do practice test a bunch of times. you will do well. good luck!

Based on my understanding from posts above and my other friends who gave exam in Scarborough recently:

By average ETA to receive oath invitation: ~30 days after exam.
By average oath ceremony date: ~45 days after exam.

That is just my observation.

If you don't have any complications, i.e. lot of US trips like I do ... you will be good. you will get in 3-4 weeks.. enjoy.

Has anyone else who wrote their test in April heard back from CIC for their oath date? My twin brother wrote his test in February and got his oath date 3 weeks later.

I wrote mine on April 29th so this upcoming week its going to be 4 weeks.

Nothing much happened,, just chatted for a bit for my 6-7 day travel to Cuba and different vacation destinations :p,, Had a gap of over two years between current and expired passport, that came up, I pointed out the notes on my passport showing the previous pass# on the current and vice-verse. There were some visa from the middle east in Arabic, that came up too, I had the translation of those :) and I pointed out that these were before I landed except one which was the visa when landed and the other was a cancellation of the residency in that country. There was travel between 2001 and 2003 to India as I was finishing up my undergrad degree there.

Asked a bit about work, offered to show employment letter but she refused. I informed her that I've all T4s since 2006, university transcripts from McMaster etc. and that there was only 7 days travel since Sep 2003 till now.. She wasn't interested in any and said that all looks good now, but that she'll have to look at it again later. BTW I was jacked up on caffeine as I was up all night cramming the book :p.

Oh I did tell her about my travel plans to Europe with a friend for a vacation, she said that if I've to go then I can but I'll have to inform the office of the time of absence. But guess what I chose not to, and I was supposed to go on the 4th .

I called CIC call center later and I had a nice chat with them, asking about what was happening and what I should do with my travel plans and the soon to expire PR card. The lady there was super nice and suggested that I put the travel plans on hold since an absence usually doesn't help you get the date soon but can postpone to years. I asked how long should I wait before I call again, I was told to wait 6 months from test date. She also said that since my PR card expires in September there is no need to renew it as I'll most likely get the Oath date well before that (from her experience). I asked if there was an RQ in the works, she said that if that was the case the in most cases you get it right away!

Nice. Yea I had my test on April 29 and I passed the test 19/20 and I had the interview and everything went well. I later on had to go to the agency's room to sit down with her and fix some gaps in my dates and everything went well. She said I should here from them for the oath in 2-3 months.

I really hope they contact me soon because I wanna go on vacation.....
