A friend of mine did his test at the Scarborough office on January 4th and yesterday, he got invited to Oath on January 26th. Maybe Scarborough is getting better.

And yes, he lives in Brampton which should have sent him to the Mississauga office.
Or Scarborough is prioritizing Mississauga applicants because they had a longer waiting period for getting their test invites?

I applied in May 2017 and got DM in October. I got the Oath invite for Jan 26th in Scarborogh. I waited 4 months from DM to Oath.
This is normal for Scarborogh for majority of cases. Some get lucky specially if they are single applicants and can be squeezed in ceremonies due to others postponing their oath.Good luck to all.

Not really, look at the spreadsheet and you can see that Mississauga office has faster test invites than Scarborough. It just happens that there are fewer oath ceremony in Missisauga now for some reason unknown and then they are moved to Scarborough for oath

I notice a couple of people got OATH INVITE for 26 of JANUARY in Scarborough. That ceremony is not posted online.

Congrats! It seems you are right it's taking some where between four month from DM.

Can you pls tell me how did you receive the invite, was it by mail or e-mail? Is your online status concurrent with the time u received it?

Do you see step 5 on online portal? that say "we have sent you Oath invite"?

It is just I can't rely on e-mail as much as CIC do!! what if it goes to spam or whatever. There should be some other place to confirm invites.

I got the email at first and few days later it showed up in the online portal. I did NOT receive it by regular post mail.
In the email instructions, it tells you that this is the only thing that you will receive and you should print it on paper and bring it to the oath ceremony as a proof. The email has 1 attachment which is a PDF file (3 pages in total). First two pages has instructions on the ceremony and what documents to bring and time and location...etc. Last page is the media release form that needs to be signed.
I did not get a prohibition form but I know that they will supply it during the registration when I go to the ceremony.

When I check the online portal, I do see it as step 5 where it says We sent you an invite....date and time.

The Sender email address of the oath invite was: IRCC.DNCitSCRScheduling-ConvocationSCRCitRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca
You can add this address to the Safe Senders list or whitelist in your email client if you are afraid of receiving it as spam/junk; which is very doubtful since the sender domain is @cic.gc.ca which is a registered government site.
Best of luck to all.

Interview on Dec 19, DM on 20th. No further news. Incidentally, 4 more ceremonies at Scarborough announced this morning - 2 for 19 Jan and 2 for 26 Jan.

Those maybe the ones reserved for Missisauga people taking oath in Scarborough, not a single one received invites who was originally from Scaborough since new year
