Scarborough -DM-Oath

I did my test and got my DM very next day it was around early Jan. I was under the same situation and I need to travel on a short vacation and my current passport was less than 6 months validity + visa for the visiting countries. I thought i can save close to $500 if it get my oath and then apply for canadian pp, but dint happen. Finally renewed my pp, applied for the visa and enjoyed my vacation. Just sharing my story :).....now im least worried about the oath.

Sorry about that. Did you receive any fingerprint request? If not, I'll advise you to just be patient for a few more days. I have the feeling that you will be programmed before the end of May or at most early June. Good thing, Scarborough notice letter and actual Oath ceremony could just be 2 weeks or less. Good luck!

No finger print request.. I called up cic yesterday and they said everything looks good on the file and and only schedule of oath is remaining.. I am not sure what is happening... Even the oath invite lettee is good enough for me to know i will be scheduled for an oath and will save my time and money on visas and hassles.. Hope for the best..

You're right. I was hoping it would be Scarborough but when I got the mail today, it appears to be a special ceremony at York University. Looks like our Scarborough is going through a huge backlog. Good luck!

3rd week of October 2016 I sent my application,I had no issues in my application and got my invite for test in the month of December. Took my test by 1st week of Jan 2017....DM very next day......and waiting for oath :). In the mean time....PP was about to expire, need to go on vacation and I went ahead and took my Indian PP in Takkal (Processed on the same day, gave application at 10:00 am, got PP at 3:00 pm, but had to shell out $300). Let see how long its going to take :)
 
Today there was an update on Scarborough oath schedule beyond June 6th.
June 8th - 3 ceremonies
June 13th - 1 ceremony
June 15h - 1 ceremony

That's some good news. That should take care of most Nov, Dec and perhaps Jan applicants. Also worth noting that if you're on DM, your Oath ceremony can be scheduled via other processing offices within the GTA. That's my situation. I was expecting that all my processing will begin and end in Scarborough but fair enough, I will take the Oath in Toronto. Better than the long wait with lots of uncertainty. Good luck to all!

I got oath invitation 3 days before. so dont worry everybody you will get yours.
 
I wrote the test on April 25th at the Scarborough office. Status changed to "Decision made" the very next day and now awaiting the oath! They did say it's likely to take 2-3 months...
