Please , any one can tell me if I am waiting for the Oath, but need to travel can I send the flight ticket and the IRCC can consider speeding up my ceremony date. The decision made on February 15. I am an August 2017 applicant

You can ask to delay the event , but to make it early- I strongly doubt that they would break the roll to bring someone ahead because of personal reasons.

You can try it though. They are with July applicant now. August should be sometime in May 2018.

Too bad this isn't like the NEXUS interview process that allows you to pick your own oath dates. At this point, I'd consider going fairly out of my way to get this over with... lol

Scarborough have posted 3 ceremonies on the 22 , 2 on the 27-Mar and 1 on 03 Apr.....seems to be moving slowly, but not sure how much progress can be made with holding ceremonies only 1 day every week

I don't know that they have any real interest in hurrying anything along. They have 12 months to process 85% of the cases, so as long as they are meeting that benchmark, I'd think they would be inclined to keep to a rate that keeps the room full and their staff busy.

Well I am a Sep Applicant and I had a friend of mine who applied same time like me ... and he's Cad now ... from start to finish took him 6 months ... but he was in Mississauga office ... and he got the CM Invite on the same day when he was done with his test .... Looks like I should hear by June, if they're looking into July's Applicants now

That's probably why this thread exists...Scarborough office is "unique" when it comes to Oath

A couple of months later, it wouldn't matter to us who got citizenship in 6 or 12 months as all will likely be Canadians by then...its just about how we manage our patience in the interim...but yea, it sucks to see all other officer doing better in the Oath stage

I agree !! It's just that my original passport will expire and I really do not want to renew it from here and deal with my embassy here lol such a horrible experience with them before as well as my PR card is about to expire as well and am planning a trip in the summer time ... so now I have to renew my PR and renew my passport ,, Just in case if I didnt hear anything back by the summer ...

guess everyone is having some constraints and thats what makes us impatient i wouldnt mind getting the ceremony late.. if they can setup the schedule and send out the invite, thats all i want.. that would help us plan our tasks.. some of us have renewals, some of us have travels.. everything is on hold until we know the date .. frustrating.

Scarborough Office was on steroids during the first two weeks of March. What happened now? Again back to once a week schedule. Some of us got April 14th also as oath day. So seems like it has gone back to its old pace again. Maximum 1-2 ceremonies per week ! Oh well.. just when you make plans to be excited...

Maybe you have a special case that needs a specialist in Scarborough? Maybe your address dictates it and it was wrongly sent to Mississauga?
