Hi,

I have a question about the digital photos to be scanned. While CIC has some guidelines on the picture size and other stuff in addition to the name and address of the photographer, how can I scan both sides while maintaining the quality and size of the photo? Any advice about this from successful applicants. Am not sure if am over concerned about this point.

Thanks.

Yeah, online application version only requires front of photo and you have to meet the file format and pixel size requirements.

Once you have ppr, they will ask you to submit two photos along with passport. Thats when you need to meet the following criteria for the physical photos:

When I get Pr, what will the required documents be? same as of ITA? The original ones?

When you get the PPR request, you will have to send a copy of your passport, if you are from a visa exempt country or the actual passport, if you are from a country that is not exempt.

They will also require 2 passport photos following the specifications i posted above.

In additon to that, they asked me to include the receipt of my paid fee and to confirm my address so they kmow where to send copr paper.

Thats it and its pretty straight forward. Basically, just passport, photos and address.

Do you guys know how can I convert a pdf format to jpg online as per the CIC specifications?

I am trying to find this online but no go yet

If an existing photo is being scanned, the minimum resolution must be 600 pixels per inch.
File Format:

The file may be submitted in JPEG or JPEG2000 format.
The final size of the image should ideally be 240 kB (kilobytes), but not less than 60 kB.
The image must be in colour (24 bits per pixel) in RGB colour space, which is the common output for most digital cameras.

Thanks

Just type in pdf to jpg in google and you will find a lot of free serrvices like this one:

Thanks Andre_Smol. I did that, I have my image in jpeg. Just that am concerned about the resolution. They say 600 pixels per inch but all picture conversion online are given me 300 dpi. I have no idea what am doing while getting the exact size. I don't even know if this needs as much though! :D

Thanks

Can't you scan to .jpg directly?

I woukd say as long as it looks like a high quality and clear image, you should be fine.
