SCAM Alert ! for new immigrant.

Hello All Brother's & Sister,

When you will come to Canada. I would like to beware you about phone SCAM, a phone call saying your immigration status will be cancel, because ( can tell you any reason, For example you provided false document, Family status, criminal record, many many ) and he/she will also advice you, that you need to hire a lawyer for petition.


Here is the game, He/She will ask money to hire a layer. So beware any any kind of phone calls who asking money.

( I got call, I have arrest warrant. My friends got call about cancel PR status etc )

Now I am telling how its happened:
There are lots of call center in India there are continue doing this ( Sorry for my Indian friends). You can search youtude about CBC market place Phone Scam.

Now the Question is how they get numbers and how know they are new immigrant.
1. Only new immigrant will buy new phone. I am showing a phone number such as : 514 222 1234 ( here 514 provincial code, 222 area code 1234 is the number ) The scammer only rotted last 4 digit.

2. They may have local shop connection that shopper sell the number with few cost.

So, My advice is never trust any phone call even it is marketing call from bank.

They just go number by number and if they do not hit immigrant, they will just say sorry I must have dialed wrong number.

Well Chinese embassy is calling me for years (not that I was ever in China or has anything to do with it).

Never get this particular kind of scam call, but it's worth sharing this to family. Will surely forward this warning to my family. I suggest anyone to just hang up if you think it's suspicious or too demanding, or even better don't answer if you are not familiar with the numbers. It's better to just report them to the authority or some complaint boards like http://whycall.me, so that others will be aware of these scams, too.
