CIC site states that there's no need to send Saudi PCC unless i receive a request for such. My spoue has worked and lived there for 10+ years and has Saudi PCC issued without expiry before he come to Canada in 2013. I'm aware that PCC should issued after you have left the country and not earlier.
My question is. Has anyone already received a letter from CIC asking for Saudi PCC?
Thanks!

i didnt wait for CIC instructions. when i received the ITA, i sent an email to the Canadian embassy in Riyadh asking for an endorsement letter. Saudi Police will not issue a PCC without an endorsement letter from the Canadian Embassy. i then stamped that letter from the Ministry of Foreign affairs. I then got my PCC from the Saudi Police.

by the way, if your spouse has already left Saudi, and is no longer a resident, a PCC from Saudi Arabia is not required.

hope this helps!

Thanks for your reply. My spouse left Saudi in 2013 and has Saudi PCC issued before he left. So, does it mean CIC won't require Saudi PCC anymore? My spouse told me it was really hard to get one especially to non-residents.
I've read a lot of rejections due to PCC issues and I'm a bit worried now.

I guess it is not required as long as she has the pcc before leaving and never coming back there?

Thanks Andy however as far a i know the rule of the thumb is it should be issued after the applicant left the country and not earlier. That makes me worry a bit.

Regardless. The rule for Saudi Arabia specifically, is that of you live outside Saudi Arabia and no longer a resident, a PCC is not required. This is what it says on the CIC webiste:

'Certificates are available only to current legal residents.

If you have current legal residence status in Saudi Arabia, follow the directions above for citizens of Saudi Arabia who live in Saudi Arabia.

If you do not have current legal residence status in Saudi Arabia, you are not required to provide a Saudi Arabian police certificate. If you are asked for a police certificate from Saudi Arabia, write: “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Saudi Arabia because certificates are only available to people who have current legal residence status.”'

All the fellow members said is correct. Lived there for 14 months and applied after I left. Didn't provide the Saudi PCC and was never asked to provide one. Also in the PCC section in the GCMS notes, the Saudi PCC was never mentioned.

Thanks Doda I was just confused coz my spouse's PCC was issued 5 months before he left and not the same day he exit Saudi.

You don't need to submit Saudi PCC and CIC website clearly states its not required if you are outside of the country. But you need to provide a declaration, stating "I cannot provide Saudi PCC......." along with other PCC's when you submit your application.
I have not seen any case where CIC has come back at later stage and asked for Saudi PCC from applicants.

you dont need a saudi PCC if you are not living in saudi any more (that is you are not a legal resident of saudi or you have left saudi arabia)

so dont worry you are all good.

if your spouse was still in saudi arabia then he would have needed a PCC but as he left saudi arabia he doesnt need one.

please see this link from CIC

hope that helps

Thanks for this post.
I lived in Saudi for 8 months in 2010 too. As it was told no need to submit Saudi PCC if not a current resident, I submitted my application on dec 11 2015 (AOR) without Saudi PCC. Its now 6 months and 5 days so far no response :( That worries me

Has Any of you who applied without Saudi PCC got PPR?

thanks in Advance :)
