His submitting an application this month but his spouse is in saudi arabia, i just want to ask if anyone here already done on how to get police clearance in saudi arabia, and also how to get police certificate in the philippines if youre in saudi. He really badly needed your help. Thank u.

What is his nationality?
If he is from the Philippines then he can check the Philippine Embassy site in Riyadh and the guidelines are there on how to get NBI Clearance and Police Certificate in Saudi Arabia.

You can just request for a declaration letter from an immigration consultant here in Toronto saying that Saudi Arabia is not issuing PCC specially to non residents. I have tried before to get PCC through my friends in Saudi, even from my police friend there and then tried the Phil. consulate here, in Riyadh, Alkhobar and the Philippines but no luck.

As for the NBI clearance, you can contact the Philippine Consulate for the request. They will give you a form to fill up or you can check their website and just print the form.

Well, he could read the CIC instructions, which were updated (finally!) in July 2014 -

Of particular interest:
"If your application is being processed in Canada, you are not required to obtain a police certificate."

What is not clear is that since his wife is in the KSA, if she needs one or not. But if she does, CIC will request it. No need to obtain it in advance.

Jes_on i am just confused with that particular interest quote by cic. His application will be processed here in canada but his spouse is still in saudi arabia, does he still need to get pcc for his spouse even if the application is processed here together with his spouse.

I think she doesn't need it at all. But even if she does, CIC will request it, so he should just apply without it.
