Don't declare that you are sending passports. Just put them in sealed envelope and if asked say that they are documents.
Please DO Declare, just so that they know that the documents are VERY IMPORTANT
This is my advice.

I dont know howcome they refuse, its a normal practice, especially FedEx, I know atleast 10 people
including me who used this service, and we declared that it is Passports we are sending
* Also, I still believe he should not hide that fact that it is passports he is sending, as they are
very important documents, specially when we are already in an alien country, this is just my suggestions
decision is his.

Peace

How you can send your passports to london. Courier services ( DHL, FEDEX, ARAMEX ) are refusing to carry passport outside Saudi Arabia.

Other trusted company is UPS, try to approach them and see if they will accept to send your passports.

As far as I know Aramex are very helpful especially the management staff, try to speak with the operations manager, he might help you with this issue.

Hello,

Any one received the interview call from BIQ middle east, as they have updated the processing times till NOV 2011.

Please comment.

Regards,
Engineer

In 2013 most likely they will not send passports according to a new policy except dhl can send your passport without problems. However all of them will not pick up your passport back unless you have an account. I sent my passport via DHL then once my passports ready to pick up the DHL refused to pick up my passports. They said they can not pick up without dhl account. Another problem is that to open dhl account you should have your own business with commercial registered number.

Alhamdulillah, yesterday I have sent our passports to our visa office, Singapore, by DHL from Riyadh. Thanks to all forum members who helped me with their valuable suggestions. Special thanks to Ali Naeem and Dr. Atif.

Hello YTNZ,
Thanks for a quick and informative reply

Please throw some light on what kind of updated information chart CIC London asks for. They sent me a letter which I did nt receive in my PO Box and then later they sent me an email that they need updated personal history since 18th birthday to present date. Is that what they ask in updated information when they sent you PPR?

The updated information chart is required to be filled for you and your dependants names, birth of date, height, and eyes color.

It's different than what you received.

My cousin lives in Saudi Arabia and is planning to apply under FSW category for 2013. I have couple questions hoping somebody can shed some light;

1. Since he is living in Saudi from past 15+ yrs (works for a company) which will be his visa office - London or New Delhi ? I believe timeline for london visa is 19 months ? what in case of interview - which visa office will conduct interview ?

2. PCC - Does he have to take PCC from Saudi and India (Since he is a indian citizen)? if yes, can he request PCC with indian embassy in saudi ?

3. all arabic related documents need to be translated? what are the documents ?

4. Notary: is it compulsory to do notary in saudi ? assuming he hires a consultant based in india .can notary be done in india?

5. travel history - does travel history to be captured in a form from old and new passports ? or just the new passport?

6. are there any cases in saudi arabia where applicant sent passport to embassy or visa office (once they recieve request for medical, landing fee, pcc and passports) and visa office kept original passports for more than 6-7 months? am asking this question because in saudi iqama is renewed every year..

any respone will be greatly appreciated.

Dear IamFSW

1. Since he is living in Saudi from past 15+ yrs (works for a company) which will be his visa office - London or New Delhi ? I believe timeline for london visa is 19 months ? what in case of interview - which visa office will conduct interview ?

A - If he have valid IQAMA his visa office will be London
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-map.asp?q=1 (Link will explain where to send application)

2. PCC - Does he have to take PCC from Saudi and India (Since he is a indian citizen)? if yes, can he request PCC with indian embassy in saudi ?

A - As he is indian Citizen PCC will be issued from India. Saudi PCC not required at time of Application unless facilitation letter not provided to you by Visa Office

3. all arabic related documents need to be translated? what are the documents ?

Birth Certificates
IQAMA
Experience Letters
Address in Arabic
Marriage Certificate

4. Notary: is it compulsory to do notary in saudi ? assuming he hires a consultant based in india .can notary be done in india?

A - Notary can be done from both places For letter issued from Pakistan I did from Pakistan and letter issued from Saudi Arabia I did from Saudi Arabia.

5. travel history - does travel history to be captured in a form from old and new passports ? or just the new passport?

A - All Passports old and new both

6. are there any cases in saudi arabia where applicant sent passport to embassy or visa office (once they recieve request for medical, landing fee, pcc and passports) and visa office kept original passports for more than 6-7 months? am asking this question because in saudi iqama is renewed every year..

A - Generally they use to release passport with in 4-5 Weeks but still it depends there are few cases where long travel history ex-military services it actually depends upon case to case basis but still if you request the reason they will return your passport for iqama renewal after renewal you can resend them again.

Seniors can guide you more on that

Hello badar14,
I want to say something on point number 2 I think
if you are a current resident of Saudi arabia you can ask for a PCC (Police clearance certificate) from Indian embassy in Saudi arabia instead of going to India specially for PCC.

Mridul
