Where did u see that ur BG is in Process.?? In GC Key.? Coz in my GC Key profile I still see my BG status as " Background check: Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check."

When will my BG starts.? Is ur MR done.?

Hi Potla,

Thanks for your message. In order to check the BC for your case, you need to log in to GCkey, which is your account created on CIC website............. I guess, you have already linked your account with the help of Gckey........ So just log into your account you can see the details provided with regard to your case. Please try and let me know in case if you need any further help on this.

In the Generic form (IMM0008) question 2 about program, what did you write as an international skill worker-EE ?
Did you select Economic >>>Skill worker or Economic>>>Provincial Nominee ? What is the difference?

You don't get a mail notification when background check commences. you have to keep checking gckey account. Very soon it becomes "We are processing your background check..." this is usually before MR

Hi all friends. Can anyone clear this.
In my GCKey profile the first row shows
Continue my profile / application, not yet submitted
But 2nd row Under
View my submitted applications or profiles, shows my Application number types and other info. Where details show 'SUBMITTED'

WHY 1st row shows not submitted. Am I missing something or not creating my GCKey properly? Is it same for all ?

if u r EE then Economic >>>Skill worker

I submitted via online OASIS website for SNIP International skill worker-Express Entry category. Is it PNP or not? I have a valid Express Entry profile.
1. I think PNP means when you apply for OID (paper base) then you must select Provincial Nominee in the Generic form. Right?
2. Applicants like me must select Skill Worker though they will be nominated by province. Right?
There is no instruction that shows who must select Province Nominee and who must select Skill Worker in the Generic Form!!!!?
In fact, both EE and PNP (OID?) are either Province Nominee and Skill worker, but I confused who is who?!

Thanks for your message. In my case the same status was for more than a month ( I think it was around 45 days)........ it all depends on each case and there is no time line officially........ You just keep on checking your account for the further updates......
