wow to go with medical in week's time is too fast.. normally they ask to do the medical in a month. anyway my BC after AOR1 is "in process" ,, on May 8 it changed to "we are processing your BC".. Eligibility is still in review...
if I will consider 20 days, I will expect MR on May 28 .. week late of my forecast though..

Besbio7, thanks for updating your application status. My application also showing the same as " processing background check" so we should hear soon for MR.........

HI all . I just got my BG status changed to "We are processing your background check", I am London visa office applicant, Any guess how long it will for MR now and does any one get another requirement before MR ?

In progress - if we are talking about paperbased applicant, it is the initial stage wherein it will show when we received our AOR.

We are in process- it means that they are doing background check , in case of London VO, they do BGC before issuing MR.. in other like SGVO I think its MR then BGC ... then the golden email..

Nomination from Saskatchewan September 27, 2016.

File sent to Nova Scotia Canada on October 15, 2016.

CIC received file October 24, 2016.

Got AOR from Canada CIC on January 11, 2017.

Background checks in progress February 02, 2017.

Got medical + rprf + bio page of passport February 14, 2017.

Medical passed February 22, 2017 and documents sent to London which were received by them on February 28, 2017.

Background checks were not applicable on April 03, 2017 and after three days turn again into progress on April 06, 2017.

Received reply of an email sent to London office about my file on April 07, 2017 stating " you will be contacted in coming days with instruction for next step to process your permanent resident application"

Still waiting for next step...

I have submitted my paper based file on 25th December 2016 & Linked on 5 January 2017.

I want to know that... how many steps ahead to get PR...???

after How many months i will get AOR and Medical...??

After AOR you should wait for 1 to 2 months for medical then after medical passed wait again for 3-4 months for passport request. It is the whole process now.
