Thanks. But I am not able to link too. From my online account, when I use "Link application to this account" and try to search, I find nothing. Don't know whats wrong? I tried all different combinations like application number and lastname, first name, last name and date of birth etc, nothing is working for me.

Is there any number we can call if technical team or CIC don't respond to technical query or case specific query within 10 working days?

Next time choose different option between two, after the step "Link application to this account"

How to link your paper application online

(1) Go to the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/mycic.asp
(2) Click on continue to Gckey to create your account
(3) If You've already created an account, login with your Username and Password otherwise Click on Sign up to go on next page and create your username, password and security questions.
(4) After creating my CIC account, click link application to this account.
(5) Then select category as Permanent residence and Provincial Nominee.
(6) Then select Family name, given name and date of birth option.
(7) Fill your family name(surname), given name and date of birth as per Passport or Application form.
(8.) Next in applicant personal info panel fill Passport information only
(9) Next search for your application.
(10) Your application will be found and can be linked.
(11) You can get real time updates on your paper application online

it helps me to link my application.. twice I tried and says not available but my third try linked it... so keep on linking it.. lols

on average AOR is received after 2 to 3 months after receiving the file, for MR some of this forum followers including me have received MR after 17 months from AOR

I think Accra is the slowest visa office some applicants have been waiting since August 2015 no MR yet you can check their thread. Some people came together and sent a petition to CIC that's why most applications meant for accra are now being transferred to London and Ottawa visa offices. Some got MR just one month after aor. Dont worry Besbi you will be in Canada before August

Hi, I understand there are 2 way of tracking paper based application status. One is through Gckey and the other one is through Online Service. I can check my application status through Gckey. But when I try through Online Service, system failed to find the application. I tried using my Application No and payment receipt no along with other Required info in line within my application but no Success. Any advise on this? Thanks.

If anyone is not able to search their account then do this -

Under "Applicants Personal information", fill the passport details rather than Place of birth. I had a trouble searching my account after AOR since a while and this trick worked for me. Thanks to BESBI!!!!

Another interesting information to share, it may be helpful for someone -

I linked my GCKey account to my application in Jan 2017. I used to login and check the status without any problem. But after receiving AOR, I am not able to see my status anymore. On clicking on "Check status and messages" button, status is appearing as not available. Today when I tried to search the same application, I got a message (see below) that my application has a registration in progress. This means that CIC is still in the process of updating my application after sending AOR.
