Hello,

My brother's Saskatchewan PnP Application got rejected. The reason is given below.

Background: He has completed BBA and MBA and ECA was done for those. He had another diploma in Public Relations which actually is the related education to his work experience. He had the impression that the ECA for the Diploma is not required since ECA for BBA and MBA was done.

Requirements not met: Work experience credentials

'You don't meet the SNIP work experience requirements of having work experience during ten years prior to application that is related to your completed post secondary education.
It's a SNIP requirement that all education obtained outside Canada be verified by an Educational credential assessment (ECA) document. As the Diploma is not included in your ECA, it cannot be considered for assessment. Your verified document doesn't relate to conference and event planning.

As a result, we are closing your application with no further assessment of any other criteria or document.'

Is there an option to appeal? Can he do ECA for the Diploma and re-open the application? What other options are there if any?

Thanks in advance.

It is clearly stated on the SINP website that to be eligible, that “For all education outside Canada, you must submit an educational credential assessment (ECA)”. So the application was not complete. You can re-apply.

But WES Canada only evaluate your highest level of education. They wouldn’t have evaluated the diploma. I think he should write them and state that.

That's not accurate. They will evaluate anything you send them - not just your highest education.

If that's the case, why did they evaluate his BBA and MBA? By what you've written, they should only have evaluated the MBA.
